David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions directed at women.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
