In a tragic development, a individuals lost during the Manchester synagogue assault appears to have been fatally wounded by armed police officers.

Official Statement Confirms Gunshot Wound

The senior officer of Greater Manchester Police announced that a forensic expert has provisionally determined the man died of a bullet injury.

“Overnight, we have taken advice from the Home Office pathologist before detailed autopsies scheduled for later today. The Home Office pathologist indicated that preliminary findings show one of the deceased victims would appear to have suffered a wound matching a firearm wound.”

Suspect Details

The suspect, a 35-year-old individual, did not have a firearm, and all discharged rounds were by the police officers on site.

It is believed the victim was among those positioned at the entrance trying to stop the attacker from gaining entry.

Consequences of Police Action

“It follows therefore pending additional analysis, this injury may sadly have been sustained as a tragic and unforeseen consequence of the urgently required action taken by my officers to bring this vicious attack to an end.”

Names Released

Both individuals killed in the attack at Heaton Park synagogue located in Manchester earlier this week had been named as 53-year-old Adrian Daulby and 66-year-old Melvin Cravitz.

These individuals lost their lives when a car was used to ram into the grounds of the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue, then stabbed worshippers in a brief violent spree that concluded after police with firearms fired upon him, ending his life near the synagogue entrance.

Further Harm

Three more people sustained major injuries in the attack on the Day of Atonement, the most sacred occasion in the Jewish calendar.

Watson said, “Medical professionals have informed us that another injured person currently receiving treatment sustained a gunshot wound, which is fortunately non-fatal. It is believed the two individuals were close together behind the synagogue door, as worshippers acted bravely to prevent the attacker from getting inside.”

Suspect Background

Police named the attacker as the individual, thirty-five, a UK national of Syrian descent.

Greater Manchester police reported that three additional individuals – two male suspects and an older female – had been detained “for alleged involvement in planning of terrorist activities”.
