Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down following standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has experienced mechanical issues.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
