Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Officers mentioned they were notified by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Officers state they were contacted during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then discovered many other vandalized vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials state early analysis suggest the substance was probably human blood.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; investigators are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the occurrence," they stated.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the community for tips.

A high-ranking political figure commented the vandalism rendered him speechless and required to be solved quickly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter aiming at people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
