Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
